The release date for Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 is looming, and fans are excited for the things to come.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 is just a few days away, and as always, the leaks and speculations are starting to ramp up. For now, what we can expect for the brand-new season is a closely guarded secret; there’s no way to tell for sure what might be coming up in the Fortnite Item Shop until Epic Games announces everything themselves. Since December 2021, we’ve been exploring the flipped island and the content that arrived during the first season. The recent event that we just had was the Winter Fest celebration which had new POIs and weapons which would make a return such as the bow. Oh, and let’s not forget the time when the chickens took over the island. Now that Chapter 3 Season 1 is at its last leg, players are wondering what they can expect for the second season.

Not Going Out with A Bang

Compared to the past seasons that had a significant build-up for the season finale or a countdown for an in-game event, the end of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 is relatively quiet for Fortnite account owners. We know that something’s going down about the earthquakes surrounding Tilted Towers, but things are still murky as to what will happen and when.

Can We Expect a Huge Change to the Island?

It’s unlikely we’ll experience another significant shift for Chapter 3 Season 2, considering the whole island just got flipped over its head. Plus, it’s still too early to say what alterations and changes will come to Season 2. We currently have tornadoes and lightning sweeping across the island which players can hitch a ride on, making it possible for Epic to extend these features further into the next season. And let’s not forget about the Mole Team Drill Sites scattered around the map and the base hidden inside the mountain at Covert Cavern either – players can expect a more prominent presence from the Imagined Order concerning these sites.

Leaks Surrounding Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2

One of the most significant leaks for Chapter 3 Season 2 that’s the talk of the town is that Doctor Who could potentially come to the Fortnite Item Shop or Battle Pass. The leak first surfaced when Hypex, a well-known Fortnite data-miner, noticed that Tabor Hill (a popular Fortnite content creator) dropped hints in his latest video about Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2. He suggested that a Fortnite x Doctor Strang collab would be coming for the upcoming season. Tabor emphasized the word “strange” multiple times throughout the video, and he’s always received accurate information from an insider in Epic games concerning the latest seasons, making it likely for this “speculation” to come to fruition. Another data-miner named ShiinaBR also said via Twitter that Doctor Strange would be coming to Fortnite soon. There is no concrete data regarding when the skin will release, but if we consider Epic’s tie-in releases with movies in the past, we’re guessing that the skin will release on the same week as the Doctor Strange movie releases.

Another leak that’s gaining some attention from the community is the possibility of a Moon Knight skin. Marvel’s Moon Knight series is due to launch on March 30, 2022 – this is just a week or so after the start of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 (March 20). Fortnite has had a lot of collaborations with Marvel over the years, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a Moon Knight skin revealed either as part of the Item Shop or the Battle Pass.

We’ve been seeing a lot of love for Star Wars in Fortnite recently. There’s already a range of Fortnite x Stars Wars skins and items available in the game, such as the Book of Boba Fett crossover and The Mandalorian. The Obi-Wan Kenobi Star Wars spin-off series is coming to Disney+ in May 2022, making it possible to see Obi-Wan in the Item Shop sometime in May. Plus, Donald Mustard (Chief Creative Offer of Epic Games) hinted at his Twitter page that more Star Wars collabs are coming to Fortnite.

In A Nutshell

We still don’t know much about Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2, and the skins coming to the Battle Pass and Fortnite Item Shop. The much-awaited update has already been added to the servers and is ready to launch, and the only thing we can do is wait and see what leaks will make the cut and what didn’t. Players these days share their clips on instagram and snapchat, to do so they use a new app called snapinsta
